Synced rider tablets for your back seat
Turn your back seat into an arcade. Two headrest tablets play free, kid-safe OPPS Ride games against each other, and riders can request songs from a list you approve. No rider accounts, no chat, no cameras.
Your phone stays on Uber/Lyft and in your hands. Driver Assist Host mode runs alongside it, so you keep control of the volume, lock, reset between riders, and Kids Mode.
What riders get
- Kart races, Chess, Checkers, Pool and Crossword, played rider vs. rider across the two tablets
- Song requests and skip votes from your approved list
- Kids Mode: kid games only, clean music
- Volume capped, and everything is wiped between riders
What drivers get
- Happier riders, kids included, which may help your ratings and tips (no guarantees)
- Host screen on your phone: lock, reset, kid-safe toggle, volume, and approve or veto requests
- Pair by QR or room code, over the same Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot

Which tablet?
- Full games incl. 3D Kart: Fire HD 10 (2021 or newer), iPad 7th gen or newer, or an Android tablet with 3–4 GB RAM.
- Simple games (no 3D): Fire 7 / Fire HD 8 (2019 or newer), or a 2018+ Android tablet with 2 GB RAM. Simple mode turns on automatically on low-memory tablets.
- Two headrest tablets per car code. Extra tablets run solo on their own code.
Bring-your-own parts list (per tablet)
- Tablet (recommended, full games): Amazon Fire HD 10 (32 GB). 10.1" Full HD, USB-C, frequent sales. Budget (simple games): Amazon Fire HD 8 (32 GB). Fire tablets have no Google Play, which you don't need: OPPS Ride runs in the built-in Silk browser. Prefer Google Play? A Lenovo Tab M11 works too.
- Headrest mount: WANPOOL angle-adjustable headrest mount for 10-inch Fire tablets straps around the headrest. It tilts the screen to cut glare and works with or without a case.
- Cable: UGREEN right-angle USB-C to USB-C, 10 ft. The right-angle plug doesn't stick out into a rider's knees, and 10 ft runs from the console to a rear headrest under the seat. Get one per tablet.
One per car: REBEL dual USB-C car charger (65 W shared, 12/24 V). Two USB-C ports power two tablets at once. Alternative: Spigen ArcStation dual USB-C (45 W + 20 W).

Setup guide
- Charge and update. Turn the tablet on, connect to Wi-Fi, and install system updates. Set the screen timeout to the longest option (Fire: Settings › Display › Screen timeout) and brightness to auto.
- Open OPPS Ride once on Wi-Fi. In the browser (Silk on Fire, Chrome on Android), go to oppsgo.com/ride (no login) and tap the fullscreen button. The first visit caches the start screen and kid games, so they keep working offline.
- Pair with your car code. On the first tablet, Opps issues a car code that's unique to you. On your phone, open Driver Assist › Settings › Car tablets › Scan pairing QR and scan the QR code shown on the tablet. Do the same on the second tablet with the same car code (two tablets per code; extra tablets run solo on their own code).
- Lock it to the app (kiosk). Fire: Settings › Security & Privacy › Advanced › Screen pinning on, plus “Ask for PIN before unpinning”. Then open Recent apps, tap the browser's icon, and choose Pin. Android: Settings › Security › App pinning, then pin the browser the same way. To unpin, hold Back + Recent apps and enter your PIN.
- Mount it. Strap the mount to the headrest, not to the seat back. Keep it clear of side airbags, and make sure the screen can't be seen from the driver's seat.
- Power it. Plug the dual USB-C charger into the 12 V socket. Run each cable under the floor mat or along the seat rail to the headrest so nothing loops where feet go.
- Test before your shift. Go online in Driver Assist and do a test trip. The tablets should switch to ride mode and back after the trip ends.

Extra: free QR seat card
No tablets yet? Print a free seatback card (PDF). Riders scan it with their own phone to play OPPS Ride. Your phone stays on Uber/Lyft and is never handed back. The PDF has a 4×6, a 5×7 and a 2-up US Letter sheet with cut marks. Optional: a 4×6 clear acrylic sign holder on the console.
